 Over a period of several years, OTEC Präzisionsfinish GmbH has developed process parameters for drag finishing and disc finishing which are specially designed to meet the extremely stringent demands of the medical device sector. This enables fast and economical surface finishing to be achieved whilst maintaining consistent quality.  The machine technology, too, has been adapted to meet these strict requirements and is being used all over the world by customers of renown.

Workpieces of any shape and any weight can be accurately deburred, ground, smoothed and polished in a very short time. In the OTEC DF drag finishing machines, for example, they are clamped in rotating holders and dragged through a customised formula of abrasive processing media. Mass finishing in drag finishing machines is especially suitable for workpieces such as endoscopes, bone perforators, implants and other high-quality workpieces.

OTEC’s CF disc finishing machines are used to process bulk items such as surgical fasteners, bone screws, bone plates, milled parts etc.
