It is well-known that motor racing is extremely demanding and requires top performance from personnel and from materials. Of critical importance are the surfaces of engine components. Here, everything depends on minute details such as the topography of the component surface, which can make all the difference when it comes to service life, reliability and performance.

Ra values of up to 0.01 can be achieved and the process is absolutely reliable and reproducible. By using a special polishing medium, even DLC coated parts can be finished.
OTEC operates a well-equipped research lab with state-of-the-art measuring equipment. A sample can be finished free of charge at any time. Of course, the customer is welcome to be present whilst processing is carried out. This considerably improves the efficiency of the process, since the requirements are usually very demanding and first-hand information is often required.
